Established in 1996

Siobhan Jones founded her independent glass studio in 1996 after graduating with a BA (Hons) in Three Dimensional Design in Glass. Over nearly three decades, her work has evolved from commissioned architectural glass installations to the development of resin-free memorial jewellery, now produced in-house across our Worthing and Birmingham studios.

Siobhan’s early career focused on fused and kiln-formed glass, producing commissioned works for private clients, local authorities and NHS organisations. Her approach has always been rooted in traditional techniques, structural understanding and material control.

Gallery representation and commissioned installations across the UK and internationally helped establish a reputation for technically accomplished glass design.

The Transition into Memorial Jewellery

The Transition into Memorial Jewellery

The move into memorial jewellery began with a personal commission. When an early client asked for ashes to be incorporated into a glass piece in memory of their daughter, it marked the beginning of a new direction for the studio.

As demand grew, the service developed steadily. In 2016, Ashes With Art was separated into a dedicated memorial jewellery brand, allowing the work to expand while continuing to draw on Siobhan’s specialist glass expertise.

Traditional Craft and Fine Jewellery Standards

Traditional Craft and Fine Jewellery Standards

Siobhan’s background in glass continues to influence the brand’s design philosophy. Within Ashes With Art, this translates into hand-set gemstones and diamonds, kiln-fired glass elements and in-house jewellery manufacturing across both UK studios.

Maintaining full control of production ensures structural integrity, durability and consistency in every piece created.

Craft Philosophy

Siobhan’s background in kiln-formed glass underpins the design philosophy of Ashes With Art. Her approach is rooted in structural understanding, traditional craft techniques and complete control over materials. Each piece is manufactured in-house across our Worthing and Birmingham workshops, where gemstones and diamonds are set by hand and glass elements are kiln-fired to ensure permanence. This disciplined production process ensures every memorial piece is created with precision, durability and long-term integrity.

Professional Practice

Since establishing her studio in 1996, Siobhan’s fused glass practice has included public, private and community-led commissions. Her work has formed part of large-scale heritage initiatives, including extensive contributions to the Worthing Pier restoration project, alongside commissions for NHS organisations and private clients across the UK and internationally.

This body of work reflects a disciplined, technically rigorous approach to glass-making — one that continues to inform the standards, structure and material control seen within Ashes With Art today.

Leading Ashes With Art Today

Today, Siobhan continues to lead the creative direction of Ashes With Art, overseeing design development across our Worthing and Birmingham studios. Her background in fused glass and fine jewellery craftsmanship informs the brand’s commitment to resin-free memorial jewellery, traditional techniques and fully in-house production.

Working alongside our team of skilled jewellers and glass specialists, she ensures every piece reflects the same standards of structural integrity, material control and thoughtful design that have defined the studio since 1996.
